Leading Leaders of Tomorrow

he Senior Wing of the school organised a Leadership Camp wherein the students participated with brimming enthusiasm in a day long series of engaging activities aimed at chiselling leadership traits. The day commenced with a prayer and an inspiring address by esteemed Principal, Dr. Manisha Sharma, followed by numerous enriching activities designed to unravel leadership qualities through critical thinking, mindful reflection and farsighted vision.

    VIS organised a workshop conducted by Mr. Tapas Dasmohapatra, a renowned motivational speaker and a passionate author. The workshop was a breather that highlighted and promoted positive mindset and the importance of human connect.

      Capacity Building Workshop for Educators

      A workshop of 2 days was conducted by the school counselor, Dr. Selene Khosla on pertinent topics such as citizenship and values, sanitation, health and hygiene. The teachers reflected on case studies and shared their own classroom experiences. It was a productive exercise that's sure to equip the teachers to overcome classroom challenges.

        Exploring Mental Health

        VIS organsied a workshop on "Exploring Mental Health" conducted by experienced clinical psychologist, Ms. Rajeshwari Karnik. The workshop aimed at equipping the teachers to identify indicators of Common Developmental Disorders . The workshop reinforced the need to be informed, empathetic and sensitive with all the children to ensure a fruitful school experience.

          Spearheading Change in Classrooms

          On 15-16th May, teachers of classes VI - XII spent two immensely productive days under the tutelage of eminent resource person, Ms Kalpana Kapoor learning how to bring Creativity and Critical Thinking into their classrooms to engage their young learners in keeping with the guidelines of NEP/ NCF. The staff engaged in activity filled training program spread over two days. It was a wholesome and extremely productive exercise as the teachers went back thoroughly enriched and empowered.

                  Online session with GEMS Cambridge School, Sharjah

                  VIS had the pleasure of hosting a captivating online session with students from GEMS Cambridge School led by the biology teacher, Ms. Ashna Malhotra. The session centred around the topic of insectivorous plants and delved into captivating subjects such as photosynthesis, saprotrophs, cholorophyll and heterotrophic plants. Ms. Malhotra also assigned an interactive activity to reinforce the concepts learnt.
                  It was thrilling to see the students collaborating and learning together across campuses.

                    Three Cheers for the Cricket Champions

                    VIS, the patrons of the Indian Deaf Cricket Team, congratulates its coach Mr Devdutt and the team for defeating the Bangladesh Deaf Team by 166 runs to emerge as  champions of the IDCA TR-Nation ODI at the seven day International Tournament held at Rajarkat, Kolkata.

                          Journey from blackhole to E=mc2

                          VIS students were invited to “Bennet Science Day” at Bennet University, Greater Noida. It was a once in a lifetime mindful experience on the astronomy and physics. Students visited the science exhibition which was followed by a talk by guest speakers Prof. Das Gupta from Delhi university and Prof Ajay Ghatak from IIT, Delhi on “The Evolution of the Universe”. They also discussed the origin of famous equation, E=mc2

                            Labour Day Celebrations@VIS

                            “Before the reward, there must be labour. You plant before you harvest. You sow in tears before you reap joy.” 
                            The Daayitva Club, under Venkateshwar International School's aegis, celebrated Labour Day with a collection drive to support workers in need.Our honourable Chairman sir Mr.Goyal , Principal ma'am Dr.Manisha Sharma and senior HM  Ms. Nishu Pandey ma'am started this initiative by distributing Gift hampers to the supporting staff. Students from different grades of middle and senior wings were encouraged to contribute to the drive, which helped to inculcate a sense of social responsibility and the importance of supporting workers in their communities. 
                            This drive was an excellent way to involve students in the celebration of Labour Day. Through such initiatives, the school promoted a culture of empathy, compassion, and social consciousness, which can benefit society as a whole.

                              Workshop on Careers in Humanities

                              The school’s Social Science Society (The Sabhyata Club) hosted a fruitful workshop for class X pupils. The event featured a detailed discussion on the employment opportunities available after studying humanities. It debunked myths and taboos about humanities that are prevalent in our society and assisted students in setting goals as well as gaining a diverse view on this field.
