Sneak peek into Junior Leadership Camp

Leadership is the quality that turns dreams into reality.  To imbibe essential leadership qualities in the youth, VIS Preparatory Wing organised a leadership camp for the students of class V. The event had an array of scintillating activities such as Chef-De-Cuisine, DIY Craft Activity, team games, Ad- Wizard, treasure hunt et al. The experience bred cooperative learning, problem solving and innovation among students thus, preparing them for a radiant future!

    GD on Climate Change by Scientia Society

    A group discussion on Impact of climate change:Talk of dining table was organised by scientia society for class VIII to XII students.
    Key features of this programme were : groups were divided and allocated names of the continents like Asia ,Australia ,Europe,Africa,Antartica etc. The various groups presented their researched views on climate change and their socio/economic impact on their economic growth and political impacts on policy making to manage climate effect by these continents . It was a very interactive session where all groups competed enthusiastically.

      "Entropy: The Science Quiz"

      "Entropy: The Science Quiz", an intra-school competition was organized by the VIS Scientia Society. The quiz was conducted by Harivansh Mehta of Claass XII Springdale. The tagline was "3D: Determine, Decode, Demystify!", and the questions were based on science principles, general knowledge and a theme-based round on the 3D Phenomenon was also conducted. The participants used their analytical skills, logic and instinctive guessing to answer the questions. The first position was bagged by the team of Agrim Sharma (Class XII SD), Aaditya Chaudhary (Class X) and Parth Malik (Class X).

              An Inspiring talk on Organ Donation

              “The measure of life is not its duration but its donation.”

              VIS ORGANised a workshop on Organ Donation Awareness in association with the Secretary of Rotary Club of Organ Donation, Rtn. Dr. Archana Arora with the aim of promoting a noble and humane spirit in society. Many startling facts were shared by the esteemed guest that really highlighted the social importance of organ donation, stressed on the importance of understanding Brain death and the need to donate organs. It was a very interactive session where doubts and myths pertaining to organ donation were clarified and also many significant facts and laws were openly discussed. This workshop also marked the formation of YODA Club ( Youth Organ Donation Awareness) to raise consciousness towards this life-giving, life-enhancing opportunity.

                Eid Celebrations and World Earth Day

                Eid, the festival that upholds the spirit of brotherhood, love and secularism, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of the middle wing. Students of class VIII Lovedale portrayed the essence of this festival with a heart warming skit. It was followed by a group song presented by the green brigade of the middle wing. The assembly culminated on a lively note. Senior Headmistress, Ms.Nishu Pandey, applauded the efforts of students for putting up a great show.

                  Celebrating World Book And Copyright Day 2023

                  The power of a book lies in its power to turn a solitary act into a shared vision. 

                  The school celebrated World Book And Copyright Day 2023 by conducting a series of activities like a Book Talk Session for classes VIII to XII hosted by budding author Anusha Garg. The goal was to  promote and protect indigenous languages and conserve the heritage and history that comes with them. Students of classes VI to VIII joined this venture by sharing their own reading and writing journey and the joy that comes with being an author.
                  The school Principal, Dr. Manisha Sharma, interacted with all the budding authors and inaugurated new book shelves and publications to the library’s collection. Class X students also wrote a letter to the Editor of a reputed publishing house.

                    Online Mathematics Session with GEMS Cambridge School, Sharjah

                    Venkateshwar International School conducted an online Mathematics session for the students of GEMS Cambridge School, Sharjah. This session aimed at helping students learn and understand the key concepts in Mathematics  as well as providing them with helpful tips and tricks for solving problems. Ms. Priyanka Vohra, TGT Mathematics,  gave a detailed overview of Mensuration, highlighting some of the topics that students should focus on. Furthermore, they also went over practical applications of Mensuration and discussed why Mensuration is important in our everyday lives. This interactive online Math session was both informative and entertaining for all its participants.

                        VIS Student wins Bronze Medal Roller Skating Tournament 2023

                        Vis congratulates Uday Sahni Class- II Daisydale for winning a Bronze Medal in the East -West Roller Skating Tournament 2023 held on 26th March in Spirts Complex Rohini. U-6 category at DDA Sports complex Rohini. It was organized by "Kridha Sports Organization". Astounding accomplishment Uday! Your hard work and dedication to the sport have paid off. You make us all proud!

                          Baisakhi Assembly@VIS

                          VIS students organised a vibrant and delightful Baisakhi assembly to celebrate the joyous harvest festival and this significant day in Sikh history that commemorates the establishment of Khalsa Panth. The day commenced with melodious Gurbani Shahad sung by the school choir to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Students presented poetry and speeches to pay tribute to the martyrs of Jallianwala bagh massacre. The event culminated with a delightful and enthusiastic Bhangra dance performance by children dressed in traditional festive hues.
                          Keeping up with the high spirits of Baisakhi, the assembly also  emphasised on inculcating the core values that will guide us onto the virtuous path of life :
                          Daya – Kindness, Dharam – Fairness, Himmat – Courage, Mokhem – Determination , Sahib - Strength

                            VIS Celebrates World Health Day
                            Students of Classes- I and II shared an important reminder of the need to prioritize our health and wellbeing.
                            This year’s theme of World Health Day is "Building a fairer, healthier world". At VIS, we believe that promoting healthy habits is essential for the overall development and success of our students. This includes physical exercise, healthy eating habits, and mental health awareness.
                            We encourage our students to make healthy choices every day, we provide resources and support to help them achieve their goals because “healthy mind resides in a healthy body”.                               Another Feather In Our Cap....
                              VIS does it again!!!
                              With immense pride, we share that the talented students of VIS won the prestigious "Excellence in Book Writing and Literary Leadership " award under National Young Authors' Award , organised by BRI BOOKS AND EDUCATION WORLD. Arnav Garg ,a student of VII DD made us proud by winning the Jury Certificate of Excellence while Ananya Zutshi from IV RD and Arjun Kaul from IV RV were awarded under the Writing Prodigy Author Category.
