      Streetplay on 'Say No to Tobacco'

      To inculcate awareness about the harmful consequences of tobacco consumption, the school organised a 'Say No to Tobacco' campaign. The students of classes VI to VIII performed street plays highlighting the adverse effects of tobacco. Class IX students participated in poster making competition on the theme.

        Live Interaction with Bharati Research Centre, Antartica

        VIS students of classes XI - XII took part in the live interaction with Bharati Research Centre located in Antarctica on the occasion of Foundation Day Celebration by Ministry of Earth Sciences. Students got the privilege to question the scientists residing at the station about how Bharati station enhanced India’s capabilities in polar research since its commissioning in 2012, and what were some notable achievements resulting from the research conducted there.  The students were given informative answers related to the kind of life led by the scientists and the research being conducted at Antarctica.

              Workshop on teaching foreign languages
              A Teachers' Training program was conducted by Mr. Haru Mehra, CEO, of Le Frehindi Organization, Paris in the school premises. Teachers from various schools across India participated in this training program based on the use of 'PEP Poetry and AI' in teaching foreign languages. It was a very enriching and fruitful session for all the French educators.

                Virtual Session with students of Unebi High School , Nara , Japan

                20th July 2023 was the date set for the maiden meeting of our students with their global counterparts at Unebi High School , Nara , Japan with a vision to foster cultural ties between students of the two countries based on deeper understanding and mutual respect. The online meeting lasted about an hour and students introduced themselves to each other and spoke on mutually interesting topics .

                    On 18 July and 19 July 2023, a delegation comprising six teachers and eighteen students from Netherlands visited Venkateshwar International School, Sector-10, Dwarka under the Two Day ‘Global Exploration Programme.’ The eventful day began with lighting the lamp ceremony and a sonorous Prayer followed by the welcome address given by the Honourable  Principal, Dr. Manisha Sharma who shed light on the ever strengthening bond among the Global Exploration team members of both the schools.  An awe-inspiring presentation showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage left the audience spellbound.  The cultural programme comprised ‘Krishna-Meera duet’ and an enticing medley of Indian dance forms Bihu, Lavani and Bhangra. They also got an opportunity to see various Indian instruments and learn Indian music and Punjabi dance.  The Day One programme culminated with a soothing Yoga Session. After this, the students proceeded for homestay with the host families. On Day Two all the guest students engaged themselves in various intriguing activities and brainstorming discussions. The eventful Two Day long event came to its close with a meditation session and sharing of their memorable experiences.

                      Visit to ICAR

                      The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) celebrated its 95th Foundation Day at National Agriculture Science Complex,PUSA , New Delhi. Students of Venkateshwar International School from classes XI and XII along with teachers Ms. Nivedita Naithani and Ms. Lalita participated in these celebrations. It was an enriching  educational experience for students where they got to observe the scope of science in day to day living . Visits like these are essential to foster the scientific temperament in students.

                              Anusha Garg, a student of class XII and an upcoming author has set two impressive records in the Delhi Book of Records. She holds the record for authoring the most books by a teen at the age of 15, with an incredible total of 7 books. Also, she has set the record for the fastest nunchuks performance by a teenager. Anusha's talent and determination have truly set her apart as a record-breaking sensation.

                                  The investiture ceremony held at Venkateshwar International School was a momentous occasion filled with pride and enthusiasm. The newly elected student council members were bestowed with their responsibilities.
                                  The atmosphere was charged with positivity as the students took their oath, pledging to uphold the values and promising a beginning of a journey towards collective progress and growth with Harivansh Mehta as the Head Boy, Ananya Rai as the Head Girl and Ekam Kaur as the Deputy Head Girl. The entire student body celebrated this significant milestone.

                                    Educational Trip to South Korea

                                    Transcending  borders to widen their horizon , a team of nine students accompanied by Ms Leena Taneja, TGT Maths, paid a visit to South Korea on a 5 day educational trip during the summer vacation. The students exchanged thoughts  and experiences with the Korean students of Seouyean Middle School, forging ties beyond the walls of their classrooms.
