Organic Vegetable Gardening - A Holistic Gardening Approach of VIS

In every walk of life, one receives far more from nature than what he seeks.
The VIS Eco Club created a vegetable garden inside school premises. Objective of this initiative was to create environmental awareness amongst all students and to encourage learning by doing. The school gardeners assisted students to plant saplings of cabbage, coriander, lettuce, broccoli etc. in the garden. Compost prepared in the Aerobins placed in school premises was  utilised. Use of manure over fertilisers was promoted; in keeping with the motto ‘Let’s Make Our School a Green and Eco friendly Learning Space.’
