June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. The day was celebrated by the students and teachers of Venkateshwar International School with great enthusiasm. Class IX-XII had an online session on Teams, Class VI-VIII had a live Yoga session by an expert on Facebook and students of Class I-V performed Yoga at home. Students eagerly participated and performed Surya Namaskar along with various asanas like Bhujangasana, Halasana, Chakrasana, Tadasana etc. followed by Om chanting. The benefits and steps to perform each and every Asana was explained. Students and teachers were encouraged to practice yoga regularly to remain fit and improve concentration. It will surely help the students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually.
