People in Delhi nowadays just aren’t fit and healthy anymore. When we turn the pages of newspaper, we come across many cases of illnesses, deaths and many more mishaps due to dengue, malaria etc. So we the students and teachers of Venkateshwar International School (VIS), Sec-10, Dwarka, Delhi sat together to think about the sensitive issue of cleanliness and health that the people of lower income group faces.
At VIS, we created a next-to-perfect plan to start our drive towards "safe and clean" environment for the under privileged people and following activities were undertaken.
• Cleaned the area of Manglapuri Sadh Nagar –II including the drains and picked up the garbage as well.
• Visited the MCD office and updated the information.
• Provided free medical camp to the residents for two days with the help of doctors.
• Performed Nukkad Natak to spread the awareness of living healthy and fit life.
• Distributed basic necessities like odomos, repellant creams, biscuits, Horlicks, tooth paste, bursh & medicines etc. to poor and needy.
