VIS felicitates alumnus, Shubham Bhardwaj

Venkateshwar International School, Sector-10 Dwarka, hosted a momentous Felicitation Ceremony to honour its outstanding alumnus, Mr Shubham Bhardwaj, who secured AIR 265 in the recently held UPSC examination. The event  celebrated Shubham's success journey from his academic achievements at VIS ,IIT Bombay, Monash University, Australia to his remarkable success in the Civil Services examination.The esteemed chairman Shri Mahavir Goel ji along with distinguished members of the Board of Directors graced the event.The proud  family members were also felicitated  for their unwavering support in shaping Shubham's personality.The ceremony concluded with Shubham's motivating address and an interactive session with students .

    Hindi Debate Competition

    On April 26, 2024, 'Meri Baat' - Debate Competition (Classes 9th-10th) was organized at an Interhouse level, courtesy "Bhasha Setu Club". For the competition, each team was given a choice between two topics. The first topic was "It's the turn of artificial intelligence, Poor human intelligence” while the second topic was “Social Media Influencers – Bring positive change in the society”. Participants from both sides of the debate presented their views confidently on these two topics. The arguments put forward by the participants left the audience impressed, and after the competition, many students from the audience enthusiastically came up on stage to express their own opinions.

      Moot Court@VIS

      The Scientia Society of Venkateshwar International School successfully hosted the second edition of its annual moot court competition under the guidance of the teacher-in-charge, Ms. Nivedita Naithani. The theme for this edition, hosted by Atharv Tandon, Anshika Raj, Vijeta Singh and Ninaad Kapoor of XIIth and Ashmita Aghi, Pratham Sharma, Shriya Jaiswal and Syna Sachdeva of Xth, revolved around reproductive rights and the freedom of expression, and was won by Lakshmi Ashok and Saanvi Chhabra of Grade X. The runners-up were Himadri Paliwal and Chehak Gupta of Grade XII. The event successfully managed to create awareness about the issue of abortion and of freedom of speech, and inspired many more students to form and discuss their opinions regarding several social issues that revolve around our modern world.

          World Book Day Celebrations

          On the occasion of World Book Day and Copyright Day the school organised an Author’s Meet exclusively for the students of class VII. Renowned author, Mr.David Braddiel was invited for an interactive session in the school auditorium. The session commenced with an engaging tete-a-tete wherein Mr Braddiel shared his valuable insights. This was followed by the reading of an extract from the bestseller ‘The Parent Agency’ by the author himself. Mr. Braddiel also conducted a quiz to pique students’ interest and indulged in a one-to-one interaction with the enthusiastic audience. Children were elated to own a personal copy of the book signed by the author. The event culminated with the presentation of a token of gratitude by the students.

            Earth Day Celebrations

            On 22 April 2024, the Daaiytva Club of the school organised an Earth Day celebration to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainability. Students of classes VI to XII created vibrant posters and took a collective pledge to adopt eco-friendly habits for a sustainable future.

              A delegation comprising five teachers and Thirty Two students from Netherlands visited Venkateshwar International School, Sector-10, Dwarka under the ‘Global Exploration Programme.’ The eventful day began with lighting the lamp ceremony and a sonorous Prayer followed by the welcome address of Honourable Principal, Dr. Manisha Sharma who shed light on the ever strengthening bond among the Global Exploration team members. An awe-inspiring presentation showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage left the audience mesmerise. The cultural programme comprised Bharatnatiyam and foot tapping giddha dance performance. They also got an opportunity to see various Indian instruments and know more about Indian music. The eventful day came to its close with a group photograph and sharing of their memorable experiences.

                VIS students attend Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

                VlS students, Manan Suri (XI), Raghav Goel (XI), Vedansh Balyan (XI), Gaurav Chand (XII) and Vedant Naithani (XII),participated in a recently held Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp at Chandigarh Engineering College. This event was organised by the Ministry of Education and graced by many eminent dignitaries. Our students also had the opportunity to present their innovative ideas in front of distinguished speakers as part of the Day-2 program, RAPID PROTOTYPING-TURNING IDEAS INTO TANGIBLE SOLUTIONS. The students' ideas were highly appreciated, garnering a huge round of applause from the audience. The VIS fraternity is proud of these budding scientists.

                    The Economics Summit at SRCC was a profoundly enriching and motivating experience for VIS students of classes XII RD, RV and HT.                       Gender sensitisation workshop

                      The Girl Up VIS club led a gender sensitisation workshop focusing on challenging stereotypes, mental health, biases, professions and gendered language. The workshop aimed to raise awareness, promote inclusivity as well as foster a more equitable and respectful school environment.
