Diwali Dharohar

Students got a hands-on, vibrant experience when they participated in the traditional craft of stamping designs onto fabric using carved wooden blocks. Ms. Kamlesh Pangtey, faculty from Pearl Institute,  conducted the workshop "Diwali Dharohar" on the eve of Diwali. Students tried different motifs, diyas, geometric shapes- experimenting with colour mixing and placement. 
They printed sustainable tote- bags for Diwali gifts or personal keepsakes. The workshop aimed at making a cultural connection with traditional Indian Crafts.

      Visit to Oldage Home

      The students of Classes VII and VIII of Venkateshwar International School visited the Bindapur Old Age Home to celebrate the festival of lights, Diwali, with the elderly residents. The visit was filled with joy, warmth, and heartfelt interactions that truly reflected the spirit of the festival.

      The students greeted the senior citizens with handmade cards, sweets, and diyas prepared with love. They sang festive songs, performed a short cultural program and engaged in meaningful conversations with the residents, listening to their life stories and experiences. The faces of the elderly lit up with smiles as they blessed the children for their kindness and enthusiasm. The visit was a beautiful reminder that festivals are not just about lights and sweets, but about sharing love, compassion, and togetherness. The school’s initiative to celebrate Diwali in such a thoughtful way truly embodied the essence of humanity and left a lasting impression on everyone present.

        Financial Literacy Workshop

        The Futurepreneurs Club conducted an engaging workshop for students of Classes VI to VIII. The session introduced students to key financial concepts in a fun and interactive way.

        The workshop began with a brief introduction to the importance of financial awareness at a young age, followed by lessons on Needs vs Wants, helping students understand smart decision-making in daily life. The Budgeting activity encouraged them to plan spending wisely, while the Savings vs Investment segment explained how money can grow over time. Students also learned how banks work, gaining a simple view of deposits, loans, and interest. The session on Money Mindset focused on building positive habits toward managing money. The workshop ended with a lively Q&A and quiz, where students tested their knowledge and shared their takeaways. Overall, it was an interactive and informative session that left students curious and inspired about financial literacy.

          Online session with Ulsan Foreign Language High School, South Korea

          Venkateshwar International School recently hosted another session of its Online International Exchange Program with Ulsan Foreign Language High School, South Korea. The session focused on “Daily School Life and Food Culture” in both countries. Students exchanged experiences about their school routines and favourite foods. Indian students shared stories of classroom learning, co-curricular activities, and home-cooked tiffins, while Korean students spoke about their disciplined schedules and traditional dishes like kimchi and bibimbap.

          The engaging interaction fostered cultural understanding and strengthened the bond of friendship between the two schools.

            VIS Principal felicitated by Sri Lanka's Government

            Our Principal, Dr. Manish Sharma, was felicitated by the Sri Lankan Government during the Sri Lankan Education Exchange Programme for her exemplary contribution to global education.               DDCA Under-14 Delhi team and VIS coach Devdutt Baghel receives the former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Samman Award

              Venkateshwar International School’s esteemed coach, Devdutt Baghel, who also coaches the Delhi Under-14 BCCI team, was honoured with the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Samman Award for his outstanding contribution to sports. The award ceremony, organized by the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Global Foundation and Parvaaz Media Group, was held at New Maharashtra Sadan, Delhi. Adding to the celebration, his trainee Raunak Vaghela was selected for Delhi’s Ranji Trophy team on the same day. Coach Baghel expressed his pride and congratulated Raunak on his remarkable achievement.

                VIS students visit Sriram Centre of Performing Arts

                To deepen their understanding of theatre arts, a group of students visited the Sriram Centre of Performing Arts, New Delhi, on 8 October 2025 at 6 p.m. They watched an engaging play titled “BABY”, gaining first-hand exposure to professional theatre practices. The visit offered valuable insights into stage design, lighting, sound management, and acting techniques. This enriching experience not only enhanced their appreciation for the performing arts but also inspired them to explore their creativity and refine their theatre skills with greater confidence.
