On August 14, Venkateshwar International School, Sector 10 Dwarka organised its first virtual assembly to celebrate our nation's 74th Independence Day. In the face of a pandemic, it is imperative that we shower our gratitude on the bravehearts of our nation. The assembly began on an auspicious note with the Gayatri Mantra, followed by a solo patriotic song presented by Saumya Verma of class VII . To take the spirit of patriotism further , Rayana Sharma of Class IX delivered inspiring speech on the true spirit of India. Aarna Choudhury of Class VIII also presented a patriotic dance, which was greatly appreciated by the audience. To culminate the event, Head of School Dr Manisha Sharma addressed all students and teachers regarding the psycho-social impacts of the pandemic, and encouraged everyone to stay positive and productive. Even in these challenging times, VIS has been striving consistently to take learning beyond textbooks and inspire students to contribute to the world around them.
