    AI Webinar@VIS

VIS was shortlisted for the CBSE-IBM AI Enabled SEWA Programme, ergo, it participated in the Online Training Workshop organised by Ms. Swathi Hari and Mr. Krishna. The programme involved a 3-hour online training on Artificial Intelligence delivered by IBM’s implementation partner, 1M1B Foundation, followed by a 3-hour AI Online Certification course on IBM's online platform. The cornerstone of this Workshop was Artificial Intelligence and its various affiliates like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Data Visualisation, Natural Language Processing and Computational Science,  amongst others.
It also served as an inflection point to talk and debate about the connotations and pitfalls of AI. An open caucus was held on privacy and maintaining solitude in Cyberspace wherein students expressed their opinions   about the notion and how it could be an impediment to the users. All the questions and doubts posed by our enthralled students were  very sincerely answered by the organisers. It was a very stimulating and interactive session.

      Skype session with Australia

As part of celebrating October as Cyber security month, VIS students (Class XI-XII) had a Skype session (on Microsoft Teams) with Ms. Madhumita Sengupta, Secondary English Coordinator and students of Bayside Christian College, Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. Students of both sides talked about life during lockdown, aspects of cyber security in the ‘Work from Home’ culture, effects of the pandemic on physical and mental health. Our Australian friends were pleasantly surprised that their counterparts in Delhi were still confined to their homes and attending classes online ! Ms. Peta Jorgensen, P-12 Digital Learning Coordinator at Hillcrest Christian College, Gold Coast, Australia also addressed the students and talked about the importance of cyber security and threats like cyber stalking. The Head of School, Dr. Manisha Sharma applauded students for their inputs.
