The Literasis Republic Day Celebration

The Literasis Republic Day Celebration was that of a special one. The members of the club brought about a comparison between fictional heroes and real-world freedom fighters of India. From Jace Herondale of the Shadowhunters to Albus Dumbledore and his army of the Harry Potter series and from Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice to Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, the students presented a collation of how the qualities of warriors and leaders of the Indian Freedom struggle like Subash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu and Savitiribai Phule match many of the qualities of fictional heroes. The audience was reminded of how one must be the change they want to see in the world and not wait for someone else to do it. The session was successful in reminding the students of their ancestors who have fought for the freedom they have today and the great leaders this country has seen.
