Venkateshwar International School, Sector 10 Dwarka along with Prayatna Educational Society in collaboration with Alliance Française Chandigarh organised a ten days educational trip “Séjour linguistique” to France. 

A group of 13 students was accompanied by the French teacher Ms. Ekta Chandra. The group left for France on 21st May, 2015 from Indira Gandhi airport via Dubai and returned on 31st may, 2015. It was a very enriching experience for children where they not only stayed with French host families but also attended classes in Notre Dame School in the city of Rouen. The classes were arranged with the help of Alliance Francaise of Rouen. In Paris, the students got the opportunity to see The Eiffel Tower, Church of Notre Dame, Museum of Louvre, the famous Champs Elysees and they also enjoyed a tour of Paris in Bateau Mouche.

In Rouen, the students stayed with the host families where they were offered authentic French food and were exposed to French culture. They also attended classes in a French school, Notre Dame, where they enhanced their French speaking skills. In the second half of the day, students were taken for shopping and sightseeing. They enjoyed the city tour in a small train and went to see the English Channel which connects France to England. 

In the end, there was a farewell ceremony where the students gave some mesmerising performances. The participants received an attestation through certificates at the end of the course which acknowledged their participation. It was a wonderful and a memorable experience for the students as they were able to see all the things which they learn in books and were also exposed to French tradition and culture.
