                      Art Exhibition
Last year in the month of December, 14 girls of Venkateshwar International School attended a workshop: ‘And Still I Rise…’.  After a series of interesting activities, each girl wrote a letter addressing the world giving her view of gender inequality. It had such an impact on the participating students that they went on to organize a workshop in the school on the same topic to share their learning with fellow students.
On 7th April 2015 the same group of girls and a few boys from VIS were invited for an art exhibition. This 2nd phase of workshop displayed the letters written by girls from across the globe. Several art pieces made by renowned artists of India and abroad complemented these letters. It was a matter of pride for our school that in this art exhibition four letters written by VIS students [ Arshiya Aggarwal, Riya Wadhawa ,Sana Midha  and Ishika Gupta ] were selected and displayed. Each art piece was discussed at length and students brainstormed to discuss the message hidden in it.
The main message was to try and decipher the significance of art in spreading awareness and bringing a change in the mindset of the people.
