Venkateshwar International School, Sector-10, Dwarka hosted the much awaited Zonal Round of the Spell Vocab Challenger 2015 for the Junior as well as the Senior level. “Having a good vocabulary is more than knowing a large number of words – it is the ability to choose words with greater precision and at the appropriate moment.”  With the belief in this proverbial expression, the quiz commenced in conjunction with great zeal and enthusiasm from the participants. There were 12 participants each for both the levels. The quiz had 4 rounds - guess the word, double clue, guess the idiomatic expression/collective noun and a rapid fire round. The winners of this invigorating contest were Ifra Abbasi from Cambridge School, Rhea Gulati from Heritage School, Rohini for the junior level and Mridula Garg from Heritage School, Rohini for the senior level. They have now qualified for the final round. The competition ended with the felicitation of winners and participants. Indeed emphasis was laid not only on focusing on the vocabulary but also becoming conscious of the appropriate and smart usage of words.

Draw lots for the EWS / Disadvantage Group categories will be held on 13 February 2015 at 11:00 am. 

In the loving memory of Shri Naresh Solanki Ji, Venkateshwar International School, Sector-10, Dwarka organized the 4th Naresh Memorial Cricket (Under 14) Tournament. A total of 12 teams from various academies participated in the tournament.

In the final match Surender Khanna Academy defeated Vidya Jain Academy, Rohini by 5 wickets and won the tournament.

Well known Indian Cricketers namely Murali Kartik, Surender Khanna and Gursharan Singh gave away the prizes. Trophies were given to the Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Man of the Series. The winning team was awarded Rs 1,000,00 and the Runners Up Rs. 50,000 respectively. Mr. Kamal Solanki, Director Finance and Wg. Cdr. Virinder Singh, Manager of the school graced the occasion.  

Venkateshwar International School, Sector 10, Dwarka celebrated GANIT (Growing Aptitude in Numerical Innovations and Training) week to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sh. Shrinivasa Ramanujan, a genius mathematician and to actively promote interest of students in mathematics and its applications.

The following activities were conducted for different classes.

16 Dec 2014 Workshop on Vedic Maths for class XI where students were made to learn few easy tricks to simplify calculations.

17 Dec 2014 Essay writing competition for class VIII on topic “Maths in everyday life” where students expressed their ideas of how they apply maths in their daily life.

18 Dec 2014 Interhouse Maths activity “Mathemagic” was conducted in primary classes. The rounds were based on the application of concepts in real life situations. Various mathematical skills were tested through this activity.

19 Dec 2014 Poster making competition for class VII students. They made a variety of posters on mathematicians they admire and few interesting concepts  of Maths and Geometry.

20 Dec 2014 Screening of films produced by Vigyan Prasar for classes IX and X.
