The Farewell Party of class XII, which marks the end of the phase of school life, started in the traditional way with the tilak ceremony.  It was a touching affair as students’ part ways from an institution which had nurtured them from the time when it was difficult for them even to utter their own name till the time they had finally learnt to stand on their own two feet.
The formal event began with a soulful invocation to the Almighty which was followed by a bouquet presentation to our venerated Director ma’am. The dais was then taken over by our Director Mrs Mrinalini Kaura, whose inspiring, soul-enticing address brought in front of the student’s eyes an infinite series of interconnected memories. The address highlighted how the various students of the batch of 2015-16 brought accolades to this school in various fields and how each student has played a significant role in the development of the school as a whole. These golden words of appreciation were lessons that the students would need in every step of their lives.  In the next segment, a short movie made by 11th grade students was screened to let the audience get face to face with those impalpable memories made with friends and peers of the schooling years.
An event this important cannot be complete without one’s teachers’ blessings. Each and every teacher was requested to come up on the stage, was felicitated and was asked to speak a few words which would act as guiding lights.  After such an expenditure of one’s heartfelt emotions, to lighten up the mood the girls and boys of class 12th were invited to participate in a fashion show and set the stage on fire.  To stop the passage of time and to let the emotions in the atmosphere fully seep in, the students of class XI were called upon the stage to surprise with their new age dance choreographies like the ‘lazy dance’ which were genuinely appreciated by the audience and was entertaining from the very beginning till the very end.  Next it was time for the teachers to give rest to the stern looks on their faces, and adopt the energy and enthusiasm of professional qawwals with their self-composed qawwali describing the relationship between a student and a teacher.
After lunch the students of eleventh grade presented dance performances ranging from bhangra to lavani. The students rocked the stage and well managed to make their seniors dance. The band performance in between these amazingly choreographed dances was superb as always.
With the vote of thanks by the Head Boy and Head Girl in the end, via which the entire batch expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the entire school and the opportunities that it has offered to them, the day’s programme came to an end leaving every participant with a mix of euphoria and emotion.
